this past weekend

It feels really good to be alive.

I did flowers in one of my favorite music venues in the city. The bride and groom. Quite the stupendous duo. Just the kind of couple I always strive to create for. They allow you to be yourself for the sake of being creative, so your work actually comes alive and doesn't get consumed in the billion dollar industry of frou frou-big bow-glamourama mainstream weddings.

I celebrated my 28 years on this planet hiking it up with some of the favorite people over the weekend. Felt delirious from the night before because of the wedding. But for some reason, when your in the butt middle of nature and feeling that way, nature has a way of working its magic. It's like POOF! You're restored. You breathe in the fresh air. Body aches are soothed as you admire the scenery, basking in that vitamin D, and gaining that second wind as you continue to trek on into the trails. Soaking in mother nature's beauty is such a complete and natural high.

This photo has nothing to do with anything I just talked about. Just a bouq and bout, making its way to city hall for another elopement a couple weeks back. I just realized how much I love doing flowers for elopers. Such a quick and easy get away for love. Why plan so much and so hard for something that feels so easy?
