Today, my nearest and dearest of friends got married. Gil and Cybill. I could go on and on about how special these two are to me, but I'd be rambling forever. Their day was wildly unconventional. It was a live life and love out loud kind of day.
We started off at my place where Cybill got ready. Made our way to City Hall. Entouraged around down town. Ate at the sweetest hofbrau around. Cheesed it up at Fabric 8, a cute lil Gallery in the heart of the Mission. Cake was eaten. We drank wine. Lots of it. Porto. Porto and more Porto. To end the festivities, we made our way to the Boom Boom room in the Fillmore for some feel good funky music.
The day was
so
much
FUN!
It was the kind of wedding that didn't make you feel like you were at a wedding. It was a day that made you feel like you were truly a part of the best and most insane day of their life. And for me, I couldn't have had it any other way. That's what weddings are supposed to be all about.
They'll be having another celebration in Portugal where they plan on living in the years to come. I hope to be there. to take in their love once again, and to celebrate like crazy.
